Michigan-Ohio State

The rivalry between the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes is the greatest in college football.  No other rivalry in the sport approaches the combination of rich history, balanced competition, and consistent championship implications.  And like with all great rivalries there is a rich regional history that put the two fan bases at odds before the first game was ever played: The Toledo War of 1835-36.  Though Michigan built up a large series lead in the early years of the rivalry when Ohio State was still finding its footing as a program, the record after both teams joined the Big Ten in 1918 is extremely close with the Buckeyes leading 49-46-4.

Much of the info here is taken from this site, which is jointly run by the libraries of both universities.  Additional info was taken from the official Michigan and Ohio State media guides.  All data does include OSU's vacated 2010 season.

1944, '49, '50, '54, '55, '64, '68, '69, '70, '72, '73, '74, '75, '76, '77, '78, '80, '86, '97, 2003, '06, '07
